My sister, Sister Agle...

I have something to tell you, blogger world! And my Dad has a way with words so I'm going to borrow his words, as posted by my Dad on Dano's 'Sister Agle fb page'....

"We got some exciting news from Danielle today, although it's news that Danielle has had to pay for the hard way. After discussions with her mission president, it has been decided that Danielle's mission will come to an end a month early so that she can come home to get some much-needed medical attention for her back. H...er mission president told her that Danielle should have only good feelings about her mission, and that she has accomplished in her 17 months what it would take most missionaries 3 years to accomplish. We will find out in the next day or so her specific travel plans, but she will probably be coming home Wednesday or Thursday. We will let you know when we hear more."

Dano, I'm so proud of you and so very, very excited to see you! Love you big sissy!!!

SB's corkboard/soul....

Above is my corkboard hanging above my bed in my room. I love these. I think they are very personal to you and it's a way you can express yourself. And bonus, mine just makes me smile when I look at it because each little thing on mine has a story behind it. Let me take a minute and share what's signficant about each tid-bit...

A) I recieve this flower from my lovely voice coach, Sister C, on my second voice recital. Believe me, those recitals are not easy. But little encouragements, like this, help SO much. Thank you Sister C.
B) This bow was on a present I recieved this past Christmas. It was beautiful and so was the jewelry inside it. Thank you kind sir.
C) These are 5 of the billions of movie tickets I have. Do you do what I do? I keep every single ticket stub and have a whole box of tickets and programs from numerous events. My sister thinks I'm a hoarder but I just like memories!
D) This key ring has the Disney princess' on it. It was actually a gift to my sister... from me. But she's on her mission at the moment so I'm watching over it for her... But what can I say? I am a little obsessed with princess'....
E) This is a heart pin made by the ever talented Coryn who is in... Paris France! And she will be for the next 17 months. Isn't that so very exciting?!?

F) "Birthday Princess" crown. On my 17th birthday, my buds Erin and Mary surprised me in my English class with this crown, a cinnamon roll and a 'Miss America' sash... except mine said, 'Birthday Girl' as you would probably guess.
G) John Mayer ticket stub. One of the best nights of my life EVER.
H) Keys! If they're not hanging up here, I do not know where they are. I'm terrified I'm going to lose them for good one day. Ah no pressure. Ps: note the beautiful pointe shoe key ring. Isn't it perty? I lost the original point shoe key ring a couple months ago and was sad but guess what? For Christmas, one of my friend's found where Igot the original one and purchased another one for me. Awwww so kind! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I) Dano, Keke and I at Dano's BYU graduation. One of the last picture taken of the 3 of us before Dano left on her mission and Keke left for New York. Touching, I know.
J) This includes 2 things: A wrist band for Disco Skating and a bracelet I made from girls camp. First of all, I am horrible at disco skating but when I went I didn't fall so that's why I've kept it and the girls camp bracelet? Well I kept that on from June until November (had to come off for the school musical) and so let's just say that bracelet has been through a lot with me:)

K) I went on a 'walk-a-bout' in 8th grade with my school. This walk-a-bout was a 60 miler in 5 days. Oh nellie that was intense... and so my Mom wrote me a little note each day and this card is from the 2nd day I believe. Aw thanks Ma, you're the best.
L) This bow was on a gift I recieved yesterday and plus it's pink with glittery crowns on it. It's perfect and fantastic and magnificent! And plus it was wrapped around my new body pillow which I love and adore. Thanks Santa....
M&N) These two polaroids are from 5 years ago. It was at a family reunion in Cedar City. Good times with the cousins.
O) I found this at a scrapbooking store several years ago. All it is, is a french/vintage/sticker type thing. Bizarre but it reminds me of 'Amelie' and 'He loves me, he loves me not'. Two amazing foreign films I think are brilliant. Both starring Audrey Tatou... love her!

P) Neon Trees badge! I don't know which one this is but Mary, Stu and Curtis have the other 3. I'm convinced that if we ever put the 4 of our badges together, a beam of light would come out from the middle and we would change the world.
Q) This rose is from my friend's brother's wedding. I love weddings! Drinks all around! (Name that movie...)
R) Metro card from one of the best weeks of my life. New York City with ma soeur, Keke. Ah happy day. Happy memories.
S) Boutineer from homecoming this year. I love flowers. A little too much I think but sue me.

T) A quote given on concert night by my best d.co buddy, Christine. True, true Chris. Thank you for the reminder.
U ) Christmas stickers. I love Christmas!
V) A quote by President Gordon B Hinckley about our potential. It's big, I tell ya!

W) Photo booth sesh with my bud, Curtis. 'Nuf said.
X) Girls camp wrist band. I mean it when I say I truly do love my ward. The young women especially. Although it is almost impossible to get people to play the piano for opening exercises, they are all so talented and extremely amazing.
Y) a key chain with my real name made in 7th grade maybe? I kind of want to say 9th though. Hmmm I'm not sure. But it's a friendly key ring none the less, don't you think! (By the way, if you haven't noticed, I LOVE key rings. They're my absolute favorite.)
Z) A sticky note that was incuded in a letter Keke sent me from New York. It talks about how skilled she is at origami becuase she mailed my letter in the shape of a man's white dress shirt. And on the outside of the letter she wrote 'FRAGILE' all over. The memory and the origami shaped letter still make me chuckle to this day.
aa) My sticker from donating blood in the Summer. I love donating blood. That's weird I think-- especially because they always miss my veins, or my veins randomly stop giving blood in the middle which leads to poking and prodding which in turn leads to heat flashes, nausea and near fainting spells-- but it's for the greater good! And you get Doritos after! What's better than that?!
bb) This was on a note pad I got from a friend in sixth grade and I just thought it was happy and pretty. Hence I've kept it all these years.
cc) Katherine Hepburn stamp I recieved in the mail. To be honest, I'm not too familiar with her work-- like I'm not obsessed, but I still look up to her and think it's sa-weet.
dd) Two stickers. One says 'Donate blood today' and one says 'Hot Hot Hot'. Yeah....
And that my friends, is a little bit of my soul for ya.
Ohp. It is not dinner time. Must be off!
Happy Sunday!

Coats for Christmas

My middle sissy, Katie, got two coats for Christmas. They are beautiful and so I she so... what do you expect? I took many a picture and here are the results:

ain't she perty?

You

Guess what day it is? That's right, it's Christmas Eve.

I don't want a lot for Christmas...

Today I have done practically nothing and haven't even stepped outside the house once. And why should I? It's absolutely freezing outside!!!

There is just one thing I need...

But, I have done a few things (hence the practically part of 'practically nothing') such as... prepared my lesson for Sunday, watched the movie 'Young Victoria', cried... a lot (because of the movie-- not for any other reason. I promise, I'm fine. It's just that 'Young Victoria' is so touching! I highly reccomend it), and slept... a lot. Even more than I cried.

I don't care about the presents, underneath the Christmas tree...

And now I am watching the delightful movie, 'The Holiday', awaiting Katie to finish wrapping her Christmas presents. Most families spend Christmas Eve all together doing holiday celebration type stuff. But not this family. We're normally all in seperate rooms furiously wrapping gifts.

I just want you for my own...

However, we do make it a point to all sit down together and watch 'Twas the Night' sometime on Christmas Eve. 'Twas the Night' is another delightful movie that's all about the Winter Holidays from little children's point of view. It's hillarious and heart warming all in one.

More than you could ever know...

But until then, I am still waiting, watching 'The Holiday', secretly checking noradsanta.org and counting the minutes until St. Nicholas is here.

Make my wish come true...

Happy Christmas my lovelies. I hope you have a very merry day tomorrow full of peace, love and joy.

All I want for Christmas... is you.

Temple Square

Last Friday, A cappella went to Temple Square and sang in the Joseph Smith building, Assembly Hall and North Visitors Center. It was ever so cold, but ever so lovely. Here are a few captured moments. (All photo credits: Mary Evans)

In 37 days, the 3 of us will be reunited. I just got really, really, really, really excited.
I love my sissies.

have yourself a merry little Coldplay christmas

I've had a bit of a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year-- just because I've been so busy busy busy! But yesterday I found this rendition of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' sung by Coldplay and it made my heart melt. Thank you Coldplay. I owe a wee bit of my Christmas Spirit to you.

the gift disclaimer.

Christmas is next week. Next week!! When did that happen? Before I begin, you should know I love Christmas. And I do know the real meaning of Christmas and I believe it is ever so beautiful. However, that doesn't change the fact that gifts stress me out. I have so much to do still. I don't know what to get anyone. I wish everyone would stop being so humble and tell me exactly what it is they want. It would make my life so much simpler. I never feel like my gifts mean how I feel about said person. So, said person, when I give you a gift, please know that I love you more than what I am giving you because, as I said earlier, there is nothing that could ever express my love for you adequately.

B is for Blosil

On Saturday night, I ate a few of my feelings (it was a little necessary) and then went to Battle of the Bands at the velour with my rippin rad sister Katie. Her friend Jen Blosil was playing. Once again, Jen Blosil. You're gonna want to write that down. She is amazing. She is going to be famous one of these days. This is her on the right. You think her hair is cool? Just wait til you hear her voice. It's unlike anything I've ever heard. And it makes my heart melt at times because it's so raw and beautiful. Yay Jen Blosil!
On another note, it was the second time I've ever been around purely college students like that and I have breaking news for the world... they're not much different than high school students. That's almost a bummer. But I noticed they're awkward, cliquey and a wee bit immature. I guess a magic change doesn't happen the second you get your diploma. Snap.
ps don't get me wrong. im sure they're lovely people. but my whole life i thought everything was going to be a different. surprise to me! nonetheless, im still a little excited to go to college. good things are awaiting. i can feel it.

Don't you agree?

Where I've Been...

Thank you so much to all who came! It always means so much to me.
Also, thank you Mama for helping out so much with the dinner, tickets, and sales. You are amazing.
And finally, thank you d.co. You are all so talented and so beautiful. It is my privilege and honor to dance beside you.

The Cinnamon Challenge

Have you ever heard of this? It's where you put a big spoonful of ground cinnamon in your mouth and try to swallow it. It's harder then you think. However, I felt confident that I could do it. How hard would swallowing it be?

Oh how wrong I was.

When I put it in my mouth, I slightly missed and so half of it spilled on my jacket and therefor, I started laughing. Bad. Laughing is bad. Immediately as I breathed it in, I choked like a monster. There's no other way to put it. For half a milisecond I basically thought I was going to die but then I was able to get a little air in. After a solid 7-8 minutes of couging in the sink and rinsing my mouth with water, the worst was over. However I felt a little sick from throwing up and every now and then for the rest of the night, I had a mini couging attack because there was a little cinnamon still left in my system I suppose.

I'm sure coughing like that was super super attractive... yum.
I have learned my lesson.

Hello Blogging World. How are you?

What have I been up to the past few weeks in which I have blogless? Well I shall tell you! (I have missed this by the way.)

  • Tried egg nog for the first time. According to studies there is a 60/40 liking of it. I am in the.... 60%! It tastes like melted vanilla ice cream. Though it is very heavy and 1/2 a cup is plenty for me. It kind of feels like I'm drinking a solid actually....

  • Man of La Mancha opened and closed with 5 straight nights of standing ovations. That hasn't happened at Timpview for 34 years. Wow. Honored.

  • Mock Congress at Timpview. I thought I loved politics until I learned they're not exactly fair... In my perfect world politics would be fair and equal and right... however that might defeat the point of politics.

  • The lovely Janie finished choreographing my senior solo for the dance concert that is a mere 8 days away!!! It's beautiful and so is she. Thank you darlin!

  • (Janie's the beauty in the middle)

  • Took a few tests: World Civ, Math, English, US gov. etc... no biggie.
  • White Out in Utah!!! Last night I had to stay inside because of a blizzard. Now that was a first. And not one I would like to repeat any time soon. Though it was a bit of a let down....

  • Went to the lovely store, Veronica Michaels, located in Spanish Fork with my cute YW group and tried on prom dresses and wedding dresses... I think I found my prom dress. It makes me feel like a Disney princes.... so yes I'm in love.

  • Saw Inception for the second time. It still blows my mind.

  • Had a photo shoot with these pretty ladies:

And that's about it! Pretty exciting, huh? :)

I hope you have all been well and I know I say this so often but.... I will try and do better with the blogging! Life just seems to get busier and busier and I've been waiting for it to slow down. However, what I'm realizing is that chances are, it won't slow down. I have to make the time. And that's what I intend to do.

My beloved football team lost last night.

I cried.

Chances are you're rolling your eyes or laughing but you have to understand, I don't know what it's like to loose. I sound like a snotty child, I am sorry. But we were going for a 5 PEAT this year. WOW.

However, all I can say is how much I love my school and I am so very grateful for all the fun football has provided in these past years. Thank you T-Birds.

it's kind of like a t swizzle song....

I'm likening this blog to Taylor Swift's amazing new album, "Speak Now." For example, some songs on her new CD are venting while some are your typical country song stories. This blog is a 'venting Taylor Swift song' as opposed to my other blogs which are normally happy-go-lucky... typical country song stories... I hope you don't judge me for this post but sometimes, If I can't write about it, what can I do about it?

A while back, I learned that many of my peers at school felt I was "fake." Ya know, not genuine and one who hides their true feelings. (These feeling normally refer to dislike for those they come in contact with.) Am I making any sense?

Well, when I learned this I was... shocked, to say the least. I never considered myself to be that way. However, for the past few weeks I have tried to be as real as possible. This 'real as possible' version of me is not one I like. I am tired and I don't hide it. I am blunt and honest (not always in a good way), I am very opinionated, and my mood is litterally 'blah.' There is no other word to describe it. It's not happy and it's not sad. I am honestly neutral about everything.

So, I am addressing this to those who said I was fake in the first place. Which side of me do you prefer? Because I don't know how to make you happy. I have come to realize that the "fake" side of me was not "fake" like you so lovingly put it. In fact, it was simply focussing and putting my efforts on my somewhat reedemable qualities. These days, I do not put any effort into anything and I would just like to thank you for that. You rock. Never change. HAGS.

...Harsh. Okay, okay. I take some of that back. (Not all of it-- just some.) It's not their fault that my personality has become lazy. It is all me. I need to change it. And I also need to remember that it doesn't matter what people think about me. If I'm happy being "fake" then I'm happy being "fake". But dear friends, do not judge or verbally express your negative feelings about a fellow classmate. That bugs me and I don't appreciate it.

Sincerely, Alex
(It's not Sasha tonight... as I'm sure you can tell.)

Amy and Tink

My sister Katie and I went to different Halloween parties last night. Neither of us knew what we were going to be that morning when we woke up. However, by 7:00 that night, we were able to pull something together and took a few sister-sister photos before we both went our different ways. Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the finished product.......

Me: Tinkerbell

a mission mishap

Sister Agle is the top row, third from the left.

I normally don't' share letters that I get from my sister who is on a mission because my Daddy does that on her face book page but I think this should be an exception...

Written on 10/11/10: "This is one of my most embarrassing moments so far. It was pouring with rain and we were running out of Target back to our car. Sister Mele beeped the car to unlock it and we get into the car and realized it's not our car! We were in someone else's car and they were in there! To be fair to us, the car looked like ours and it was only 2 cars down. We apologized profusely and got into the right car this time. We are dorks."

Oh my heavens! I love my sister so much. She is so funny and so cute. That is all there is to it.

to.do.fall.break

I have a lot to do this Fall Break. And the hope is that if I tell you my list, I will do it! So ladies and gentlemen, here we go.

Here's the homework stuff....

Photo Essay: This is for US Government. I have to create a photo essay of the consitution and tell how it applies to me. Yipee!
Night Packet: This is for English. We read the book, Night, which I highly reccomend by the way, and now we have the world's biggest essay question packet ever. I'm going to need lots and lots of paper.
Reading Log: For English, again. My teacher is choosing to end the term a week earlier than the term actually ends which means I have one less week to read then I planned on. Oh snap.
Current Event: Self explanatory for US gov. No biggie.
Math: I detest math. Gross and disgusting. I don't like it and it doesn't like me so how bout I just not do it?
Learn Music: The choir concert is on Thursday and yet somehow, I don't know all the music. Oh snap.

Here's the everything else stuff...

Clean room: I swear I just did this the other day but somehow it always gets messy again.
ACT prep: I am taking it for the last time in about one week. I am so very excited to be done! All I want is 2 more points. I don't really need these 2 points, but I want them. It's bizarre, I know.
Write Danielle: She comes home in 3-4 months!!! (By the way, if you want her address to write to her, let me know and I will hook you up!)
Nightmare on 13th street: This is a haunted house that I am going to with some friends and um, um, um, I'm kind of scared. (Though I have a feeling it will make for a fantastic future blog entry.... maybe.)
College Applications: Can you believe BYU's application becomes available tomorrow?!? I'm not necessarily saying that's where I'm going, but I am saying that I am shocked I have to think about college applications already. I don't feel old enough!
Musical prep: I haven't exactly read through the whole script yet so I don't know my fate. Do I marry my fiance or not?!? I will find out this break and get back to you on that.
Eat British food: We have a lot left over from my Pride and Prejudice party last night. I'm kinda excited about the leftovers to be honest.... ps. Have you seen the long version? It's... long. I'm just warning you that they mean it when they say it's 5 hours and 30 minutes. However, I should also mention it was absolutely smashing!!!

And with that said, I should probably get started!
I hope you yourself have a wonderful and safe Fall Break!!
Love always, sasha beth

1/2 cup of tequila

Last night I had a girls night. And boy, did I need one. (PUN! PUN! Did you catch the pun?) It was with my friend, Kylee and my new friend as of last night, Sandra. Kylee's boy was busy with choir concert dress rehearsals, Sandra's boy is on a mission, and my boy is on the other side of the country. Therefor, we felt the need to unite.

I cannot tell you all the details because that would defeat the point of a girls night, but I can tell you the main outline. It started with girl talk -duh- and then we made margaritas. But do not fret! These were virgin margaritas. Though the instructions did say to add 1/2 a cup of tequila.... I found that slightly comical. We substituted it for water or something. But I must say, our virgin margaritas were scrumptious. (For future reference though, I accidentally dropped a gummy bear in mine and it was not half bad!) While we were drinking our margaritas, we put in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Classic pity party movie. So much fun and giggling. After the movie finished, we had one last sesh of girl talk because what do girls do best? Girl talk of course. And then before I knew it, I had to leave because to be honest, I had no idea where I was. (I am very, very, very directionally challenged. Especially at night when everything looks the same. In a town that's not my own. In the car that is GPS-less. No bueno.) However, guess what? I found my way home and made it back BEFORE curfew!

Yay.
Solid night.
Thank you Kylee and Sandra!!!
.... oh and thank you so very much Matthew McConaughey.
