MP's Yard Sale

My blog isn't supposed to be one giant advertisment. But sometimes it feels that way. If there are things going on in my life or my friends lives, I want to share it; share the joy! So here's the next joy I'm sharing: On Saturday morning, my buddy, MP is having a yard sale where 100% of the funds are going towards her humanitarian trip which she's taking next summer. She's going to work at a leper colony in India for 12 weeks. If you're interested in buying junk-- I mean, treasures (though all for a GREAT cause), contact me and I will let you know of the address!

We made the signs ourselves (if you couldn't tell).

Lagoon

On Monday I went to Lagoon with my good friend, DJ.

I got to eat a whole churro by myself.

And I rode the carousel and loved every minute of it.

We also rode the ferris wheel and stayed at the very top for a little too long in my opinion.
(Scary larry it's high and shaky.)

Deej didn't have to invite me, but he did.
And to him I say, THANK YOU!
It was a much needed distraction--
but also, just plain fun.

What a pal.

The Fork results.

The Echo Theater.
Main Street in Provo.
Adorable venue.

In my last blog post I told my friends and family about my Daddy's play, "The Fork".
A HUGE thank you to all who attended whether physically or in spirit.
It was all so appreciated.

David Smith and Christian Busath

And guess what, blogger world?
My Pa's play made it to the final round AND he won
'Best Director' and 'Audience Choice Award'.
Wha, whaaaaa?!
Dad, congratulations!!!
I am so, so, so proud of him.
He is so deserving of this.

The Cast & Crew of "The Fork".
I remember heading up to bed one night a couple weeks ago when I saw my Dad sitting in the piano room working on his laptop. When I asked him what he was doing, he told me was writing a play for  a contest that he had been asked to submit something for (which was due that night at 12. Talk about short notice!)...

Literally three weeks later, my Dad is a winner.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you to those who supported my Paps and Uncle throughout this whole process, The Echo Theater for beginning such a wonderful tradition, and my Dad for providing me with such an example.
If you have a dream, you just have to go get it.
No excuses and no regrets.

Congratulations Dad!
We love you!!!

The Fork.

What is everybody doing tonight at 7pm?
Going to the play my Papa and Uncle wrote and directed?
And you're voting for it too????
(Because it really is the best one in the competition.
I went last night.
Seriously, it's absolutely hillarious.)
Wow.
You guys are such good friends.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting me, my family, and the arts!

Summer and Spice and Everything Nice.

That moment when MP and I (pictured), along with 5 of our friends are driving down the streets of P-town with the windows rolled down and 'Wannabe' from Spice Girls starts to play...
It's only inevitable that we all started to sing along at the top of our lungs (the boys included) and bust out our best Spice Girls moves.
I call being Posh.

Anniversary.

Happy Anniversary to this cute missionary on the right!
Doesn't he look so legit???
So proud of him!

Fun Run.

Yesterday morning, my family attended the first ever Bigfoot Awareness 1K,  (not 10K. ONE-KAY), organized by the one and only Dare Bear. That's right, my brother-in-law is quite the Bigfoot fan, and what better way to raise awareness than to run about it. So that's exactly what we did.

On our way to the race.
My number.
Taylor Swift's lucky number.
So I had to have it, obviously.
The Lifferthhhhh's working the registration table.
First race shot.
2012
the first ever
BIGFOOT
AWARENESS
1K Walk & Run
August 4th

All geared up and ready to go.
12 & 13.
Daren delivering his speech about Bigfoot
at the beginning of the race.
Ma.
Trail marker.
They literally made it impossible to get lost.
How kind.

Victor shot at the victory line.
PLease take note of the cowboy in the back.
What a power couple.
Short shorts and all.
Make every shot, a power shot.

The race was a crazy success! There were over 130 people who attended. Did Daren know them all? Nope. Not at all. Apparently word got around and Bigfoot has quite a fan club in Utah County. (Minus one guy who drove all the way down from Logan. DEDICATION.)

We are all so proud of Daren!
My goodness, when he puts his mind to something, magic happens!
Good for you!
And good for the one and only, BIGFOOT.
Or is there more than one....?
Dun, dun, dun!
Exhausted fmily.
(Minus Super Mom, of course.)

Mail time.

Isn't he clever?
