CRB

After a long day at dance, Chris and I drove through the streets belting 'Forget You' at the top of our lungs and began our adventure doing... senior pictures! And she is ever so B-E-A-utiful so it was crazy easy to do.

Thanks for letting me do this, Chris! You're wonderful!

spring break: day 5 & 6

DAY 5 friday.... At 9:30 AM (now, that is very early for me in this break) my lovely mother and I went to UVU to go talk to my counselor about registering for classes.... wow .... it was a very interesting experience. Apparently college is a very upfront place with no sugar coating. Overwhelming? Yeah... but hopefully I will be able to rise to the occasion. And I like challenges, so chances are it will be a good experience... right?

That afternoon, I took pictures for Stu and his brother, Colin. They are such cute brothers, and a pleasure to work with. I used to think they didn't look at ALL alike. However, after the hours I spent taking and editing them, I think I have changed my mind. The more I look at them, the more similarities I see!

In the evening, I went to a concert where they played the game, mad gab, in between songs. You know, mad gab? The one where it asks you for nouns, verbs, words ending in 'ing', etc. and then you read the rest of the story that has already been printed? Yeah... it was definitely a relaxed concert. But fun, nonetheless. Following that, I called up my dear friend, Chris, and she and I, as well as Curtis and Nelson, drove down to my house to play games. (I didn't win any of them...)

The one on the left is Chris. I'm the one on the right... in case ya didn't know.

DAY 6 saturday... After a long night of crazy dreams, I woke up early to get ready for a photoshoot. However, I was not the photographer this time. I was the photographee! (More on that later) But I will tell you that it was absolutely wonderful and so much fun! Thank you so much Emma Marie! You are the greatest.

Afterward, I may or may not have forced Mr. C to let me take pictures of him... sorry! But to my delight, they turned out wonderful! Despite what he thinks, he is very photogenic. So thank you Curbs! You are very kind to oblige me.

After that, I came home and was rather exhausted. It's not easy being photographed! So I took a nap. And that was lovely. Until.... my Mom came downstairs and told me that Stuart was at the door. Wha?!? So I quickly brushed my hair and went upstairs to meet him. "I'm taking you to Sonic to thank you for doing the photos of me and Colin yesterday!" he said. "Oh! Okay!" I replied. Though slightly shocked to see him, I was still a pleasant surprise so off we went to Sonic to enjoy some lovely tater tots and fry sauce.

That night, I went out to play night games. Instead however, DJ, Mr. C and I ended up doing a little somethin' somethin' with dry ice. And it was a success! Congratulations Mr. C! Then we went to a park, to Days, and then home. When I was little I used to always think the teens who were around town doin nothing were up to no good. However, I am one of those teens now. And let me tell you, I love the nights when we loiter.

When I came home, I grabbed a drink and headed downstairs to my room. And do you want to know what I found when I entered my room????:

glow-in-the-dark stars were on the ceiling

I quickly ran upstairs and asked my Mom when this happened. After all, I had just been hanging out with him! And here's what she told me... apparently, while Stuart and I were at Sonic, DJ was busy at work down in my room. And we came back too early which is why Stuart had me burn him a CD of his pictures right then and there. It's also why DJ 'seat called' Stuart twice while we were there. Oh and why Stuart refused to let me go downstairs and get him a case.... sneaky friends of mine. However, the best part is that I was COMPLETELY oblivious to this whole thing. And I didn't see it til hours later! I am sure DJ thought I was just avoiding the subject last night when in reality, I just didn't know!

my senior ball date/sneaky spy

And with that, happy last day of Spring Break everyone. It was for sure, a good one and I hope yours all were too:)

spring break: day 2

The plan was to go up to SLC with my British people. However, by the time I woke up, they had already left. So I cleaned my room.... that was a project. Following that, my mother dearest and I went prom dress shopping. And guess what my lovelies?! I found one! Finally, after so much hunting and searching, I found it. (Ps it was the last dress I tried on. It was meant to be.) (Psps. I would post a picture of it but my date reads my blog every now and then and I don't want him to see it quite yet. It's a surprise.... or something like that.)

That evening, I went out to go to karaoke night at Applebee's. However, due to technical difficulties, we didn't end up doing that. We went to Starbucks instead. Where I enjoyed this heavenly drink:Ahhhh! Carmel Apple Spice is the best thing that has ever happened to the coffee drinking world. However, DISCLAIMER: it is NOT a coffee drink. It's just apple cider. With NO coffee. NONE. I just like the smell of coffee. That's all.

Following my Starbucks adventure, I came home to find that Abish had been taken to the emergency vet. She has torn two of her ACLs. Ah poor baby. So she is now on heavy pain killers that make her slightly loopy and extremely tired as well as an intense diet that includes carrots. Abish isn't a big fan of carrots. But the hope is that if we get her weight down, her ACLs will do better.

abish's meds. they're horse pills!!! or should we say dog pills... pun.

Get well soon Abey Baby!

sping break: day 1

Park City, UT

these firemen waved at me.

he might hurt me for putting ths up but... i'll take my chances.

Yesterday I went to Park City.

what do i love about park city? what don't i love about park city. the originality of it all makes me swoon.

Along with Mommy, Daddy, Dano, Keke, Chris, Tony (my British people), and Mr. C.

It was too much fun.

apparently people ski in park city.... weird.
We browsed, shopped, ate, played, laughed, and cried.

(Just kidding about the crying part.)

cutie pie dano at the cutie pie cafe we ate at.

Then we came home, took naps, and went out again.

Where to, you ask?

self explanatory i think.

To Tuchanos... yum??? (Chicken heart scares me.)

However, I did try shrimp for the first time.

my boyfriend's kinda cute... :)
I nearly cried.

(I'm serious this time.)

don't judge. her sandwich was quite large.

It wouldn't go down! It tasted like rubber and I couldn't help but think that it was once happily swimming in the sea. Now it was unhappily swimming in my mouth.

Gag.

this mom was cold. and this bear was warm.
Then the 9 of us walked around my favorite hot spot, Riverwoods, and enjoyed the fires, shops, and company. I'm sure you're wondering if the night was over after that... it wasn't.

hanging from the ceiling in park city... nbd.

We returned home to watch Pink Panther 2. I would tell you my thoughts on it... except I kind of fell asleep... but I'm sure it was wonderful.

you find the most interesting things window shopping in pc...

And that, my friends, is a wrap for the first day of my spring break. Not too shabby, eh?

day 4: a picture of you today

And there ya have it. About an hour ago. My real name is Alexandra... in case you didn't know, Sha-Sha is definitely fake. And so is Sasha, for that matter. However, Sasha is what my family calls me. Why? Because it's Russian for Alexandra. Are we Russian? No, not at all... ...it makes perfect sense, right?

ps i have a mustache. nbd.

day 3: my idea of a perfect first date.

a series of hearts 2010

I feel like I've been on several first dates. And I have been blessed to never have a truly disasterous one. Sure, there have been awkward moments and times when I have realized there probably wouldn't be a second date, but I am not complaining.

However, my idea of a perfect first date happened on last season's 'Bachelor'. It was with Brad and Ashley. You know the one I'm talking about, the one where they had the carnival in the middle of the forest all to themselves! Ah bliss. It had the perfect balance of fun and romance... excuse me while I sigh of contentment...

Now. Back to real life. First, it should start off with the gentleman coming to the young lady's door with a sunflower or daisy. (Not a rose-- that's more like 10th date status.) Then, the two of them should go on a bike ride to a field full of flowers and lovliness. Then, from the baskets on the front of their bikes, they pull out a blanket and a picnic and enjoy each others company while eating their healthy sandwich wraps and drinking their Smart water. After they have finished eating, the gentleman pulls out a pack of cards and they play games for a while. Finally, when it it is beginning to get dark, they pack up their things and bike back to the car. After they load everything up, the young man opens the door for his date and when they are both settled, they drive back to her house where he walks her to the door, tells a joke, and gives her a warm and friendly hug. (Note the gentleman is a gentleman and does NOT kiss her on the first date. I feel very strongly about that. Just sayin.) And with that, he walks back to his car, she walks inside, and they both feel that warm fuzzy feeling one feels at the beginning of L-O-V-E.

Ahhh. Innocent and sweet, happy and light-hearted. That's how love should be in my humble opinion.... :)

ps. i cut myself with a spoon last night. who does that? apparently i do...
