Day 1 of Daniel's Summit

Last week, my man, Mr. C, invited me to go camping. If you know me personally, you know that I am a professional camper and therefore do it all the time and rock at it!!! (Sarcasm.) Camping is not my thing. However, I'm willing to try new adventures and this was one of them. Looking back on the trip, my question is, WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING MY ENTIRE LIFE?! However, I am getting a little bit ahead of myself.

This trip was a quickie. We only slept under the stars one night but maybe that was okay because I barely slept that one night, not due to the snakes or coyotes, but due to those dang skeeters! I was terrifed of getting bit on my face and swelling up to the size of a balloon. However, one restless night later, I have EIGHT bites on my face. EIGHT. Rude! Although, prior to being eaten alive, we all feasted on junk food, enjoyed John Mayer's newest album, 'Born and Raised' and to finish the night, watched "Hitch" starring Will Smith until we all fell asleep... I think it's safe to say I could get used to this whole wilderness thing.
Up next: DAY 2 of Daniel's Summit

  1. Wow! You little campfire girl. Way to go. You certainly look like you know what you are doing! I can't wait to hear the rest of the story.

  2. What, only eight mesquito bites? That's nothing, I get that many on my eyelid! Anyway, your pictures make you look like a real natural camper. And you look mighty happy and that is what counts.
