The Blue Fairy

Yesterday, my Daddy and I spent mostly the entire day going car shopping
While at Disney, my goal was to save up for a car of my own and after going to 10+ dealerships and looking at at least 100 cars, we found this little beauty.

I am so in love with it!!!!
2008
Dodge Caliber
New engine and transmission.
Suh-weet.

I am so grateful for my Daddy who helped me and directed me towards good, reliable cars and helped me get the best bang for my buck during the nasty negotiation process.
I know he doesn't like buying cars but he sure did an awesome job!!!
That man has the patience of a SAINT.
I am so blessed.
Thank you Daddy, I love you.

In the photo above I am showing my Sorcerer Mickey antenna topper.
It's my Mommy's but she is letting me borrow it since it matches perfectly!
And it fits in with the name of my car:
THE BLUE FAIRY
From Pinocchio, of course!
(Gotta keep it Disney).

I am so excited to finally have a car of my own!
Throughout my entire driving career, I have borrowed my parents cars and they have been SO KIND to let me do that. Whenever people needed to be more places than we had cars, they would always work something out, and for that, I am so grateful for them.
Thank you Ma and Pa!
You guys, my parents are the best parents in the entire world.

Also, thank you to my sister Keke for taking these lovely photos.
While doing our little photo shoot, without me knowing, she also snapped this little beauty:

Isn't she just gorgeous?!

And last but not least the ONE TAKE WONDER jumping photo.
That's right, this was our first and only jumping picture we took.
Keke's just that good.
And if you look extra closely, you might see a little surprise in the back.

If you ever see a blue Caliber tootling around Utah County, it's probably me so be sure to say hi!
I look forward to seeing you!

Sophomore

I survived my first week back to UVU!!!!
At first I was signed up for five classes for Tues/Thurs.
(10am-7pm)
But then I got a job as a receptionist at a daycare in my hometown that required me to be available in the afternoons.
So I switched my schedule to four classes Mon/Wed/Fri.
(8am-2pm)
But then I discovered my last class of the day was in a separate building on the opposite side of school than my third class and with only a 10 minute walk time between the two, I was not going to make it on time. And that was a problem because the professor did not accept tardies. So unfortunately, I had to drop the class.
(8am-1pm)
Then I discovered my third class of the day, oceanography, was not in fact, a class about mermaids, like I had hoped, but rather some sort of twisted MATH CLASS.
Obviously, that had to be dropped.
(8am-10am)
But taking two classes, TWO CLASSES...?
Now, that's just embarrassing.
So on Wednesday night, I enrolled in Art History for my fine arts credit.
Gotta love generals.
It is a LOT of work, reading, and essays, but I'd rather that than math!
Anything but math.

One week down, e'rybody.
Only... ummm... hmmm....1-2-3.... a million more to go.
Cool.

tbt

Throwback Thursday to when my sisters and I wore matching dresses to church (made by my ever so talented mother) and we curled our bangs with a curling iron.
Those were the good ol' days.

Prince Eric is a babe.

I think the title says it all.
I can't help it.
Ariel is a lucky lady.
Swoon.

(Here, they are standing in front of the royal float for the parade, 'Celebrate A Dream Come True').

Ali, Anni, and Shelly

I feel so blessed to have such amazing best friends.

There's Lindsay (pictured below) who I met in Florida.
The other day she told me that about the second time she met me, I told someone at church that my name was Piper Jemimah and she knew she was in for quite a crazy ride.
But I'm so grateful she stuck out that crazy ride with me in Florida because she is my ginga ninja!

FUN FACTS ABOUT THIS BEAUT:
She's a crazy talented artist and is majoring in Animation at UVU.
Her singing voice sounds like what I think an angel's singing voice sounds like.
Like me she also has two sisters, however she is the oldest (where I am the youngest).
She is the Just Dance Queen.

And then there's Chris
I met her my sophomore year in high school but we had different friend groups so we never hung out. All I knew was that she was a pretty blonde and I wished I had her face.
Then, junior year, we both made Dance Company and as the only juniors on it at the time, we stuck together. ("BRICK WALL!")
Senior year: we were co-presidents on d.co but we still never hung out outside of class or rehearsals. It wasn't until the end of senior year where she asked me, "WHY ARE WE NOT BEST FRIENDS?" And to be completely honest, I had no idea why not.
She makes me laugh SO DANG HARD.

FUN FACTS ABOUT THIS BLONDE BOMBSHELL:
She's rad. And a smartie pants. That's why she goes to BYU.
Her legs are like 4 ft. long and if I could, I would steal them from her.
This Summer, she went to Europe on a study abroad and did pretty much everything on my bucket list.
Her favorite movie is 'She's the Man' and she can quote the entire movie.

The other day, I introduced them to each other.
I know. I know.
Risky.
Combining two worlds into one?
But guess what.
Since they're both amaZING (only Linds and Chris will get the emphasis on that), they got along absolutely swimmingly and do you know how happy that makes me?
REALLLLLLLY HAPPYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I made us take a couple photos-- or 40.
Here are my favorites.
(Thank you, Papa, for being our lovely photographer!)

This is our ode to Gossip Girl.

"Princess Pose"
I love them so much! And truth be told, we have too much fun together.
Wanna know what happened last night?
No, you don't.
I will spare you the details, except for the tiniest insignificant detail that we had one or more noise complaints filed against us.
MY BAD.
So publicly, I just want to apologize to my red headed stunner but also thank her for a memory that I will not soon forget!

I love these ladies!
And I can assure you that you will be hearing about them a LOT more in the future.
Stay tuned!

Star Wars Weekend

Throughout the entire month of May, every weekend at Hollywood Studios is STAR WARS WEEKEND. I am not exactly a Star Wars enthusiast but it was still pretty cool. I saw the coolest show put on by a single man all about voice overs and met one character, one. And it was this guy:

I learned his name is Kitfitso. I have no idea which episode he's in but he's in one of them apparently. I was trying to meet Anakin because he was rather attractive, I'm not gonna deny that, so I got in his line but when I got to the front of line, Anakin and Kitfitso switched places so Kitfitso it was!
Please note Vince's Star TREK shirt and Star TREK hand.
TRAITOR!
